Japanese Startups Solving the Sustainability Issues in ASEAN Countries

1. Background

AEM-METI Economic and Industrial Cooperation Committee (AMEICC) has been conducting the Startup-ASEAN Cooperation Promotion Program since October 2022, with the aim of encouraging 5 Japanese startups with technologies and services that contribute to solving sustainability issues in ASEAN countries to have business collaboration with ASEAN companies.
The target ASEAN countries in this program are Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam and Malaysia.
We will hold a pitch event to present impressive technologies and services that the startups have and their business prospects in ASEAN countries.
Moreover, government agencies from ASEAN countries will join, and JETRO will introduce their programs to support startups.

Milk. Inc

There is a great shortage of pathologists in ASEAN countries who support the final diagnosis of cancer. Milk. Inc will solve the shortage of pathologists with a pathology diagnosis support system that combines a hyperspectral camera with high-precision spectral information and AI, thereby contributing to correcting medical disparities in the Asian region.

TradeWaltz Inc.

TradeWaltz is a cross-industrial business-to-business digital trade platform utilizing blockchain technology. TradeWaltz Inc. provides a one-stop digital solution for all industry players, across borders, to reduce operational time and costs, promote remote work, visualize trade processes, and provide other trade data-driven optimization services.

Zeroboard Inc.

Zeroboard Inc. provides development and provision of "zeroboard," a cloud service that enables companies to calculate and visualize their GHG emissions. In addition to quantifying companies' carbon footprints, they also provide on-demand consulting expertise regarding decarbonization and branding/marketing strategies.

TBM Co., Ltd.

TBM Co., Ltd. develops environmental friendly new material LIMEX and promotes resource circulation. LIMEX, which is a material made mainly from limestone, can be an alternative to plastic and paper, and contributes to environmental conservation. TBM Co., Ltd. is also accelerating the resource circulation through CirculeX, which is the recycled plastic, and their own recycling plants.

Liberaware Co., LTD.

Liberaware Co., LTD. is engaged in DX business for infrastructure inspection and maintenance management by analyzing the collected image data with small inspection drones that acquire data in "narrow, dark and dirty" environments such as manufacturing facilities. Liberaware Co., LTD. would like to visualize invisible risks of public infrastructure and realize a safe society for everyone.
